It will not charge anymore and therefore will not turn on. It starts to get warm after plugged in for a while. I tried cleaning charge port with rubbing alcohol but to no avail. WOrks but doesn’t hold a charge (thus the battery order). This is my wife’s iPod that slipped out of her pocket into the toiletjust water. It was playing at the time. It spent about 5 seconds underwater, then she retrieved it & it remained playing for about 5 sec. The sound died first, then the backlight, etc. She shook it to get as much water out as possible, then tried to dry it out with a air dryer for a few minutes. It sat for about a day & wouldn’t start. Then we put it in a tupperware container full of rice for about 3 daysstill wouldn’t start. We did not try to charge it at any time. All this was about a week ago & we’re shipping it to you about 2 weeks after the dunk.

Current battery will not hold a charge and faceplace is very scratched. Third Generation iPod was exposed to Milk and ceased to function after exposure. Unit does NOT power on. It appears that liquid has enter below the glass screen. If the unit is repairable and I decide to have it repaired I would also like to replace the battery with a new one. You have permission to reload a new operating system including an updated IOS should you not be able to enter the device to complete full testing. I desire full testing and verification rather than save the data on the device.
A drop of tap water got into the right side of the touch pooling in the lower right hand corner. iPhone was working perfectly than all the sudden went into recovery mode. I am unable to recover phone. Phone was jailbroken and unlocked using Cydnia and ultrasn0w using baseband 6.15. Not sure why I am unable to restore phone with image I used previously If phone is repairable and I desire to repair I would also like to install a new battery. My 3 year old son dropped my ipod touch on a department store tile floor while I was holding him. It landed face down. The glass is cracked in the bottom left-hand corner. The device still works and I haven’t noticed anything else wrong with it. Ipod screen was broken while carried in pocket. We wiped data and was deleted. This third generation touch has a dim display. It does not have water damage, but I suspect I have killed the backlighting through not being gentle enough with the pinball game flippers. These particular games locate the flipper controls on either side of the home button. I use to have a and I’m sure I took it out. I can currently open the itouch with no codes. Just in case you may have a problem, the old was. Dropped on hardwood floor. Battery will not keep a charge. Dropped it in water and screen went black.
ipod was dropped and cracked on the corner while my daughter was at a relatives house. Well meaning uncle pried off glass to try to replace with glass from other ipod (which didn’t fit) and damaged lcd as well. The device’s battery usually discharges completely when it is not plugged in within 5 hours. This condition existed from the beginning upon my acquisition of it, however it was new, unused in a box for approximately one year before I started using it. No trauma to it or moisture exposure. Everything works perfectly, the battery just doesnt last as long as it should. I am assuming it is a battery issuea. will charge and boot if battery is completely discharged. then doesn’t want to start back up after a few minutes or letting it sleep. If put immediately back to charge wont boot, wont charge. must wait a day or two. The touchscreen doesnt wrk too well. the left side doesnt really respond. cant turn off cause the slider wont wrk. This device has been extremely pampered. No moisture damage. Screen is great shape. It will not charge correctly and it may need a battery. At last attempt to charge, I only saw the ‘apple’ image on the screen and it would not go away. It is just outside of warranty and the Apple Tech indicated the he thought it might be a damaged connection port. I’m just unsure. The home button stopped working some time ago. The battery does not last either. So I have paid for the home button and battery assuming those are the only things it needs. Maybe the dust blown out of it while your in there. Everything else works fine. I would entertain the idea a new rear case if it is cheap enough. I dropped this about 6 months ago. It works fine. Just cracked. I’m not sure what happened but there’s a considerable dent on the back of my iPad. The device works fine but if there is pressure on the back I notice the screen does that fancy dance on glass-less LCD screens when you push of them (same on the front around the center but I don’t push on the screen so it’s not noticable with regular use. Obviously all this makes me sad. I’ve been using a hard case to protect the back but I’d rather not baby is thing any longer. I had the iPod inserted in the iHome platform and used it often until one day I realized it wasn’t working and discovered that the battery had expanded and opened the iPod case. It was not exposed to mosture or any trauma I removed the battery for fear that it would explode or spill over the platform and did not keep it. I hope a new battery will solve the problem so I can continue to enjoy my husband’s music. He passed away a couple years ago and loved this iPod so it has a special meaning for me. That’s his name on the back. Thanks for your assistance.
I accidentally put my iphone in the washing machine for about 25 mins before i realized it when i took it out it was dead no power i held the power button for a few seconds trying to power it on then realizing that was a dumb idea because it could short out and just placed it in a bag of rice i have not tried to do anything else but send this to you guys. The device was dropped on a tile floor and the glass shattered. It seems to be working fine. Just needs new glass. This device was dropped. It has some issue with the white screen but will not restart or show the apple icon. It is recogonized by itunes. Both the software and the firmware have been restored. It does not always charge when attached to computer. When you plug headphones into the jack only one headphone works. We have tried several pairs of headphones with same result. First off my ipod touch 4g (the newest one from this october) fell out of my packet and hit concrete and only cracked the screen. The other day it fell out of my pocket while I was sitting in my recliner and and went inside the chair and somehow found it’s way in between two metal moving parts and got crushed when I got up. So that is why the screen is so damaged and you guys look like the most professional service I could find so please prove me right. Thrown against rock wall. Glass is broken but has been working normally for about month. Itouch was in case when broken. I dropped my 4th generation iPod touch on a marble floor. It seems to work but screen is shattered and it looks like digitizer is as well. Cracked screen (it was dropped). Dropped the iPhone on tile floor, phone was restarted several times and appears to be working fine aside from screen showing blank/white appearance. After internet searches, I believe the issue is the LCD and need it to be replaced. Dose not power on would sometimes freeze that about all.
The glass is broken, but otherwise the iTouch works perfectly fine (even the touchscreen). Headphone jack crackles. Order by/ customer will call for the status updates bc they don’t have an email address. No passcode, but it’s jailbroken. Device fell in water (lake) andnow on/off switch not working. Replace broken dlcd with new one. None. REplace battery. Ship out. (order already added to watchlist). Battery just needs to be replaced still turns on and functions just doesn’t hold charge as long. no passcode. Replace battery and hpj.
